The Coordinator pointed out that the girl-child should think about her aspirations and ambition, neglecting any side attraction that could distract her from achieving the set goals.
“I want you all girls to know that you are very special and important. Don’t let anyone tell you that you are a second class citizen because you are a girl.

“Think of the roles you have in the future. There’s a saying that if you can educate the girl-child, you can educate the world. Think of the impact you want to make in the future and stand up for your right at all time.
“Nigeria is a country with so much potential. You can be the next Serena Williams. Don’t be mean. Help your sisters and be supportive,” she said.
Alice, who urged the girl-child who wants to succeed in different climes, must be well read, educated and determined.
“Reading, education and determination should be your watchword if you want to succeed in any field of endeavours.
“When you do this, you realise that there are so much opportunities for you,”she said.
Also speaking at the event, Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson who said she learnt to turn her weakness to greatness while growing up, said that the girl-child should pick a cue from her story. According to her, the girl-child must believe that there’s nothing she cannot achieve with determination and dream.
“While growing up, I have learnt to turn my weakness to greatness. I grow up understanding the meaning of hunger. First, you are a girl. Second, you become a woman.
“I grew up in barracks. I would trek from Ojoo to National Theatre. When you are good, nature itself will be good for you. Your life will move forward.”
