Get on the fashion train: Curvy is the new trendy

It’s the first week of June – the month that takes 2018 to its successful first half. What better time than now to restrategise your fashionable self and indulge in exploring a curvy body makeover.

Once upon not-too-long ago, being ‘lepa’ was the in-thing, as ladies fell over themselves to get on the slim train.

However, with the break of new dawns in fashion, it is now becoming more fashionable to have a reasonable amount of flesh on the bones, with the goal to look as curvy as the waist, bust and hips permit. Interestingly, the choice to stay slim or fully endowed lies with the individual, depending on whatever works for you. Makeover provides a few tips for showing off your curves fashionable:

Your health is your curvy wealth

If you have not been so naturally blessed, getting curves is no easy feat, as it takes some level of discipline, self-control and commitment to staying fit. For those currently on a diet, the trick is not necessarily in drowning yourself in slimming teas (do make sure you’re making the healthy choice anyway), but in watching the kinds of foods and drinks you consume to get good results.

Be proud to show off

Whether you have reached your goal curvy state, or you’re at least on track, do not be shy about showing off your curves. It’s a major physical signifier of the difference between men and women. However, when we say ‘show off,’ we don’t mean abandon the moral code about modesty. Not at all. You can look very beautiful fully covered up, yet your curves are revealed in their full glory. Trust Makeover, you’ll score major points on standing out stylishly from the crowd.

Peplum is your friend

One of the beautiful things about fashion is: there’s always a stylish answer for every question. The peplum style is the popular go-to, especially for those who have not got the perfect balance between the hips, waist and bust. However styled, you always look amazingly curved in the bell-like style. Add dramatic bell sleeves to boot and you’re ready to set the red carpet on fire.

Embrace body shapers

With body shapers, you can not only cheat nature, you can also help your diet towards its goal. However, ensure you know all the pros and cons before you use them. Long term use of body shapers is not usually advised, so you may want to take care there.

Be confident with the real you

If you try and, for some reason, signature curves elude you, just work with what you have. Remember what we said about fashion having answers to all questions? Embrace your imperfect perfection and work with you have been fashionable blessed with. There is no more comfortable skin to be in, than your lovely self.
