The National Coordinator of the Oodua People’s Congress, OPC, Gani Adams stepped out of seclusion on Saturday, which was part of the necessary traditions he has to perform before his installation as the 15th Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land.
The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, was seen receiving the OPC Coordinator, on Saturday, after 20 years of the demise of the last occupant, the late Chief MKO Abiola, who died on July 7, 1998.
It was gathered that the new Aare Ona Kakanfo was not expected to see the Alaafin of Oyo before his seclusion.
However, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi received the new Aare Ona Kakanfo on Saturday, accompanied by a lot of well-wishers.
It was reported that an 80-member committee headed by Archbishop Ladigbolu had put plans in motion in conjunction with the committee set up by the state government to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the installation to forestall any hitch before and after the event.

Expected at the epochal celebration and installation are vice-president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo and the chief host, Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi.
