The All Progressive Congress (APC) Northwest Alliance for Good Governance (NAGG) has described the recent appointment of Abdullahi Ganduje, as Board Chair of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a blessing.

It added that his tenure as chairman of the party has not only brought stability but has set the party on a winning streak

This was just as the group described his appointment as FAAN board chairman “as a stamp of approval and recognition of his competence.”

The secretary of the group, Comrade Auwal Shuaibu, who made this known while speaking with the pressmen further described Ganduje’s appointment as apt and timely.

According to him, “This appointment has gone to show that the leadership qualities of Ganduje in turning around the fortunes of the APC have not gone unnoticed.

“He has not only brought stability to the party but has set the party on a winning streak. Since he took over, the APC has not lost a single election so far. And in his wisdom, the President has done what is required, that is, reward success and hard work.”

He, therefore, called on all members to unite and work together in the interest of the party and country to reap the full benefits of the renewed hope agenda of the President.

Earlier, the coordinator of the group, Abdullahi Mohammed called on the President to see through the lies and mischief of Ganduje’s detractors.

He said, “Those peddling falsehoods against the National Chairman are only envious of his success in running the affairs of the APC.

“Remember, Ganduje is an accomplished administrator of international repute. This has been reflected in the discharge of his duty. Just look at how he stabilised the APC and restored the harmony within its fold.

“Mr President should be wary of any unprovoked change in the leadership of the party as being speculated by some.

“As we approach 2027, it is rather prudent to consolidate on the gains of the current NWC, headed by Ganduje, rather than succumb to the antics of the opposition.

“Because of the current trend in the party, the peace, harmony and stability are causing the opposition sleepless nights.

“They are hoping for an implosion within the APC to capitalise on. And that is why we keep hearing baseless attacks and sponsored smear campaigns targeted at Ganduje, who has demonstrated the capacity to hold the party as one undivided house.”

He concluded that the mass defection from various political parties to the APC in Katsina, over the weekend in which the National Chairman was physically present, is a testament to the fact that, the current NWC under him can consolidate and take it to victory come 2027.
