Fun, excitement as Nigerian Breweries lights up beer festivalActivities at the stand of Nigerian Breweries considerably scaled up the fun and excitement at the on-going maiden edition of the Nigeria Beer Festival in Lagos.

The company, which is the foremost brewer in Nigeria, revved up the atmosphere as its leading brands became the toast of the teeming crowd who had thronged the Atlantic Water Front, venue of the festival.

Consumers at the festival affirmed that Nigerian Breweries has the most visible and exciting branding with its products available for exhibition and tasting.

Kufre Ekanem, Nigerian Breweries’ Corporate Affairs Adviser, noted that as the nation’s foremost brewer, the company is committed to ensuring that the Nigeria Beer Festival is rich in various beer brands that would connect with diverse consumers in a unifying and responsible manner

He added that company’s involvement in the Beer Festival is to reinforce the culture of beer as a social lubricant among people of diverse background

He was excited with the event, stressing Nigeria has enrolled into the league of beer festival organisers around the world, while also promoting responsible drinking among consumers aged 18+ at all its touch points.

Participants equally agreed that the festival has also provided a fitting ambiance to showcase fashion and lifestyle, as well as culture in a carnival atmosphere

This culture touch point is in line with the view of social scientists that that beer is among the symbolic vehicles for identifying, describing, constructing and manipulating cultural values and interpersonal relationships.

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State closed the festival with an Independence Day Mega Concert that paraded an array of A-list Nigerian artistes like 2Face, among others, which ended with eye-popping fireworks display.
