THE Amir of the Faith Unites Muslims Charity Initiative (FUMCI), Ustadh Muh. Saheed Subair, has advised Nigerians,
particularly Muslims, to check their health status regularly.
Subair gave the advice ahead of this year’s edition of the organisation’s annual
‘Project Fit-for-Ramadan’ slated for February 23.
According to him, screening will be conducted on hypertension, diabetes and malaria, and medication distributed free to participants.
The FUMCI leader stated that the
programme also serves as one of the events marking the 11th anniversary of the organisation.
He advised Muslims to eat healthy meals and lead an stress-free lifestyle.
He said the idea is to help Muslims know their health status and enhance the life of the people that have health challenges.
Subair said, “Taking care of our health is one of the demands of Islam. It is part of our responsibilities as Muslims to live a fulfilled life.
“We give praise to Allah swt for taking us this far in the propagation of dawah.
This medical outreach, as we are all aware, is held in preparation for Ramadan.
It is aimed at preparing us health-wise for the Ramadan fast.”
