FULL LIST: Lagos ranked 19th best city to visit globally, beats Dubai, Miami, others 

Popular British media and hospitality company, Time Out, has ranked Lagos, Nigeria, as the 19th best city to visit in the world.

According to the body, the conclusion was drawn from a survey of over 20,000 city dwellers around the world.

Food, culture, nightlife, and access to green space, among others, are the criteria used to rate the cities.

In the report published this week, Time Out said the organization synergizes with a research company, Potentia Insight, in order to strengthen the survey’s quality. 

New York City, USA, was ranked as the best city to visit in the world, while South Africa’s Cape Town appeared at the second place, and Berlin, Germany, was ranked in the third place.

At number 19, Lagos is ranked above cities like Melbourne, Australia; Naples, Italy; Singapore; Miami, US; Dubai, UAE; Beijing, China; Montreal, Canada, among others.

Apart from Lagos, other African cities that appeared on the list are Cape Town, South Africa, which was rated as the second-best city, and Accra, Ghana, at number 44.
