Despite NUPENG’s threat of a strike over fuel distribution issues with Dangote Refinery, Abuja’s fuel stations remained open, and motorists bought fuel without disruptions.
Transport fares were unaffected, with normal rates charged.
The Minister of Labour and Employment met with NUPENG leaders to address the issue.
The situation seemed under control, with daily activities proceeding as usual.

At filling stations visited by Nigerian Tribune along the ever-busy Abuja-Keffi Expressway such as NNPC, Total, AYM Shafa, MRS, Zamson all at Mararaba and Shema, and NNPC close to Navy Estate before Abacha Barracks, and others inside the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), fuel attendants were busy attending to customers and dispensing fuel to motorists.
Commuters, market men and women, and others were unperturbed as they went ahead with their daily activities.
Nigerian Tribune discovered that transport fare was not in anyway affected as transporters and private vehicles owners charged the normal fare.
Nigerian Tribune gathered that the Minister of Labour and Employment, was meeting with the leadership of NUPENG as at the time of filing this report.
