Timilehin Lucy, an e-commerce expert and digital marketer, has become a beacon of hope for small business owners in Nigeria. Lucy, with a background in accounting from Ekiti State University, has built a career that not only supports her but also uplifts others, especially women in business. As the founder of Shopless Nigeria, Lucy’s mission is to help SMEs thrive in Nigeria and beyond.

Shopless Nigeria, an import and export brand, has been guiding new business owners for eight years, helping them navigate the complexities of importing products into Nigeria and exporting Nigerian-made goods to international markets. “It started as a drive to eradicate poverty,” Lucy recalls. “As a student, I just wanted to make more money, but as time went on, my passion for helping others and making a positive impact in my community became the real motivation behind my work.”

However, the journey hasn’t been without challenges. “A lot of challenges, but the major one is not having a proper structure for my brand and leveraging other people’s potentials to my advantage,” Lucy admits. Despite these obstacles, her dedication to learning and growth has kept her on track. She advises aspiring professionals in her field, “Don’t stop learning, keep upgrading yourself, take courses, go for seminars, just keep learning.”

Lucy’s personal philosophy, “If you can do 1, you can do 1000 and more,” reflects her belief in limitless potential. This mindset has driven her to not only succeed in her own endeavours but also to inspire and guide others. Recently, she hosted the Business Hangout for females, an event that provided valuable insights into sales, business, and other essential aspects of life as a woman in business.

Currently, Lucy is working on creating a community of financially stable women in the digital marketing space. Her goal is clear: “I want to see small business owners thrive and grow in all aspects of sales,” she says. Through Shopless Nigeria and her ongoing efforts, she is making this vision a reality, one business at a time.
