The French Embassy in Nigeria has announced the launch of a music bootcamp aimed at empowering emerging musical talent in the country.
The initiative, which is part of the embassy’s cultural exchange program, seeks to provide Nigerian musicians with the skills and resources needed to succeed in the competitive music industry.
The music bootcamp, titled “The Amplify Bootcamp for Music Artists and Managers,” will take place from March 24 to March 28 in Abuja and from April 7 to April 15, 2025, in Lagos. The program will bring together a select group of Nigerian musicians for a series of workshops, masterclasses, and mentorship sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from renowned music industry professionals and network with other emerging artists.
The Amplify Bootcamp is intended to be a timeless moment of reflection in a privileged and inspiring setting, where artists and their managers will have a unique opportunity to move their project forward, surrounded and advised by a team of the best experts in the Nigerian music industry. The aim is to give beneficiaries all the keys/skills they need to leverage their capacities and build up their career.
According to a statement released by the French Embassy, the music bootcamp is part of a broader effort to promote cultural exchange and cooperation between France and Nigeria. “We are excited to launch this initiative, which will provide Nigerian musicians with the tools and resources they need to succeed,” said the French Ambassador to Nigeria.
At the end of the bootcamp, artists will leave with a ready-to-use EPK (Electronic Press Kit), and will have set about determining a career and communication plan.
