Freestyling requires balance between abandon, control —EBlack

In a revealing exploration, EBlack, also known as Mr Onpoint, has shared insights into the creative process of his craft, unveiling the artistry behind his free-styling.

Speaking on his music, Eblack shared a glimpse into the spontaneous approach he employs in crafting some of his most beloved songs, including his hit track titled ‘Bilie.’

As he delved into the intricacies of his creative journey, he demystified the process of freestyling, emphasising its significance in shaping the lyrical contours of his music.

According to him, the essence of free-styling lies in the immediate and unfiltered response to the beat.

He said, “This intuitive approach allows me to tap into the raw and authentic emotions coursing through me at the moment of creation.”

Speaking further, EBlack shed light on the genesis of ‘Bilie’, a track that emerged from the depths of his spontaneous creativity.

He recounted the serendipitous encounter with the beat that served as the catalyst for the song, describing it as “electrifying”, the energy that enveloped him during the freestyling session.

“Bilie becames a proof to the power of capturing the essence of a moment, as I translated my emotions and experiences into a melodic narrative,”  he said.

Elaborating on the paradoxical nature of freestyling, he said, “it requires a delicate balance between abandon and control.”

He added, “While the process is seemingly free-spirited, it demands a deep connection with the music and an acute awareness of the emotions I aim to convey.

“This intricate dance between spontaneity and intentionality defines my unique approach to music creation.”
