At least four persons have been confirmed dead while ten others were injured in a lone accident involving Chisco Motors.
The accident occurred around 6:30 am around step down area of Odigbo local government area of Ondo.
A source informed that the lone accident happened when the driver of the luxurious bus lost control of the vehicle.
According to him, the vehicle rammed into a ditch, injuring over ten people while four people lost their lives.
Confirming the accident, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Funmi Odunlami, explained that accident was a lone accident involving a luxurious bus.
Odunlami said the luxurious bus with registration number Lagos KSF 93 YG was traveling from Port Harcourt Lagos.
She explained that the vehicle after getting to step-down area of Ore, the driver lost control and rammed into a ditch, leaving many of the passengers injured.
She confirmed the death of four people.
“Passengers of the vehicle were rushed to Grace of God hospital by the Police.
“Four people were confirmed dead and their remains were deposited at the hospital mortuary while 10 were injured and are being treated.
“The public are hereby advised to check on their loved ones who left for Lagos from Port Harcourt with Chisco Transport.
“The command while sympathising with the families of those who lost their loved ones in the unfortunate accident use this medium to advise transportation companies to be circumspect on physical and mental condition of drivers engaged to drive passengers,” she said.
