The founder of the Fatade Idowu Foundation, Idowu Fatade, celebrated his birthday on December 20th by visiting the Modupe Cole Memorial Childcare and Treatment Home School in Akoka, Lagos.

The Modupe Cole Memorial Home provides critical care, education, and a safe space for children with disabilities, many of whom come from vulnerable backgrounds.

According to Fatade, his visit to the home was part of his commitment to giving back to the community and bringing joy to those who are often overlooked.

Welcomed by the vice principal of the school and other members of the leadership team, they inspected the school’s facilities and enquired about the needs and realities of the children and staff.

Fatade, on behalf of his foundation, distributed essential food items and provisions, which were received by the management and caregivers.

As part of the engagement, Fatade took a moment to celebrate his birthday with the children and to encourage the dedicated caregivers who work to support and nurture them.

In his address, he emphasised the joy of sharing special moments with those in need and reiterated the foundation’s commitment to human dignity and community service.

Fatade and his team pledged to continue collaborating with the school’s leadership to provide sustained support, highlighting that his visit marks the beginning of a long-term partnership aimed at improving the well-being of the children and strengthening the school’s capacity to serve its mission.

He also commended the Lagos State government for its ongoing investment and support of the facility, recognising the vital role of public institutions in creating inclusive environments for all children.
