A total of 50 secondary school students and 16 undergraduate students were awarded scholarships for the 2023–2024 academic session across the five local government areas in the central senatorial zone of Kogi State.

The annual Solomon and Alice Oniwon Education Foundation Scholarship Award took place at the main auditorium of the Federal College of Education, Okene.
This foundation awards scholarships to indigent and brilliant students in Kogi State Central Senatorial District.
In her opening remarks, the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Angela Okatahi, who was represented by the Chairperson of the Selection and Monitoring Committee (S&M C), Dr. Fatima O. Usman, appreciated the Founder, Engineer Austin Oniwon, for his love and continued support for the needy.
She also enjoined the beneficiaries to use the award judiciously. Parents and students who spoke on behalf of others thanked the founder for his kindness.
