THE Anambra State Government is to partner a German Firm, Better Eco Company to further accelerate the pace of Agricultural development and ensure increased farm output.
Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr Afam Mbanefo, revealed this at his office in Awka, during the visit of Agric Committee members of the German company over the weekend.
The members were in the state for negotiation on produce of their interest including oil palm, mango, banana, cashew and plantain.
Addressing the delegation, Mr Mbanefo said that estimation had been carried out by different technical teams, concerning the selected products.
He urged them to ascertain the cost of yield and the waste percentage in order to determine the next line of action in their subsequent meetings.

The Agric commissioner noted that there was the need to determine a list of farmers’ groups to identify with various crops and re-assured that those with the appropriate size of farmlands would be enlisted since the state desired to support active best practicing farmers that were serious and honest.
Earlier, the team leader, Mr Mark Abani, said that their mission was to interact with the state government on how to improve Agriculture, particularly on specific products like Oil Palm, Rice, Cassava, Cashew, Rubber and Poultry.
