Nigeria’s young heroes will on October 13 be honoured in a grand ceremony to be broadcast across multiple television networks.
The initiative is Indomie Instant Noodles’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to recognise, celebrate, and reward children who have displayed exceptional acts of bravery, strength, innovation, and heroism.
This year’s Indomie Heroes Award, themed “Unsung Heroes,” brings to the spotlight the incredible and untold stories of children aged 15 and below who have, through remarkable courage and selflessness, made significant contributions to their communities.
It will showcase a collection of captivating and inspiring stories from different states across Nigeria, with shortlisted stories of children whose heroic acts stand out being celebrated and broadcast live on TV for the first time.
Speaking on the initiative, the Group Corporate Communications and Events Manager at Dufil Prima Foods Limited, Temitope Asiwaju, stated that the awards to be given out are in three categories, namely: social bravery, intellectual bravery, and physical bravery.
Ashiwaju, who said the event will be shown on Africa Magic Family (7:30 to 8:30 ), AIT (6:00 , to 7:00 ), NTA, Arise, and Ontv (5:00 , to 6:00 ), added that “The Social Bravery Award honours youths tackling critical issues like child marriage, illiteracy, and environmental concerns. The Intellectual Bravery award recognises innovative problem-solving with limited resources, while the Physical Bravery award celebrates children who risk personal safety to save lives or prevent harm in their communities. The nationwide broadcast will showcase inspiring stories of courageous children in these categories, allowing the whole country to share in their powerful narratives,” he said.
Dufil Prima Foods, through the Indomie Heroes Award, continues its mission of honouring the extraordinary achievements of young children whose heroic actions often go unrecognised. By bringing these stories to the forefront, the company is not just recognising these young heroes but also giving their bravery the nationwide attention it deserves.
This initiative reflects the brand’s commitment to promoting timeless values such as courage, resilience, innovation, and selflessness, ensuring these children’s efforts are celebrated across the nation.
Over the past 15 years, these inspirational stories have moved the nation, and this year’s 16th edition ceremony promises to be no different. Viewers can expect heartwarming, life-changing stories that demonstrate the strength and humanity of these everyday individuals.
