Firm gifts 13-yr-old competition winner land at Splash/Lagelu FM Ramadan lecture

A firm, Aljannah Travels, has donated a plot of land worth N1.8 million to Adebowale Mohammed, the 13-year-old winner of a Qur’an recitation competition held as part of the annual Splash/Lagelu FM Ramadan lecture on Tuesday in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Speaking during the presentation, Alhaji Saheed Aderinto, the Managing Director of Aljannah Travels, a subsidiary of the destination management firm, UfitFly, urged Muslims to embrace the wisdom and guidance of the Qur’an, “because of the transformative power it holds in all aspects of life.”

Aderinto said: “We are happy to identify with Splash/Lagelu FM, especially the transparent manner of the organisers of this Qur’an recitation competition which we learnt has entered its fourth edition.

“The N1.8 million plot of land is located at Mercy Estate of UfitHomes in Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State.”

He highlighted the importance of integrating the teachings of the Qur’an into one’s daily life rather than limiting its application to challenging circumstances.

According to him, the vision of Aljannah Travels is to become leading providers of Hajj and Umrah services distinguished by commitment to excellence, integrity and Quranic foundation.

“Our mission is to provide exceptional and spiritually enriching experiences for pilgrims embarking on the sacred journey of Hajj and Umrah. We aim to offer comprehensive travel and tour services that prioritise the comfort, safety and convenience of our customers, while fostering a deep connection to the teachings of the Qur’an,” he noted.

The guest lecturer at the event was renowned Islamic preacher, Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello, who discussed the topic ‘Economic Hardship: the Islamic Solution’.
