Fire razes Uniben’s female hostel

A female student’s hostel at the University of Benin was engulfed by fire on Tuesday.

According to a user on X, Ruth Nifemi, who shared a video, the fire ravaged Hall 2 hostel of the university, causing damage to documents and property.

In her post, she wrote, “Hall 2 UNIBEN is on fire, and fire service came without water. Entire room with documents burnt down.”

The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
