The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service is attending to a Fire outbreak at the new NNPC Terminal, formerly OVH, Kayode Street, Marine Beach, Apapa.
This was disclosed by the Director/CEO of Lagos State Fire Service, Margaret Adeseye, on X handle.
According to her, “The Fire resulted from a spillage of petroleum products within the perimeter of the tank farm as concerted efforts with various.
“As at 13:10 hours Friday, the Fire has been put out by the joint efforts of emergency responders coordinated by the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service without any recorded casualty. This will pave way for investigation into the cause of the Fire as mopping up exercise continues.”

The raging inferno, according to an eyewitnesss occurred at about 11 am as people ran helter-skelter to contain the fire outbreak before rescue team arrived.
Rescue team led by the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, LASEMA, as of press time, 1 pm were battling to put off the raging fire.
