Fire erupts at sawmill in Abule Egba, Lagos

A fire outbreak has occurred at a sawmill located at the Awori bus stop in Abule Egba, Lagos, prompting urgent response efforts from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.

The incident, which unfolded on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, engulfed the sawmill, posing a threat to the surrounding area.

Reports indicate that the fire consumed a vast expanse of land

Efforts to contain the blaze are currently underway, with firefighting operations in progress.

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service has deployed resources to the scene, working tirelessly to prevent the fire from escalating beyond the confines of the sawmill.

The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time, with investigations expected to commence once the situation is stabilised.
