People’s security is one of the duties and responsibilities of any government as contained in our constitution.
I do recollect vividly when the same armed men invaded Benue State and wasted many lives. It was indeed sad when Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State made a mockery of the anti-grazing law which was passed by the Benue State government.

Unfortunately, the relative peace that the people of Plateau enjoyed was ruptured most recently. This indeed underscores the fact that when one state is visited by such deaths or calamities, other states should see this as a national source of concern. It is wrong, in whatever perception, to trade blames during times of catastrophe. Such moment should be sobering for all citizens and every government official.
We should all ensure that we work together to fight the spate of insecurity in Nigeria. We cannot afford to be divided both in principle and approach as we fight the huge problems occasioned by the lingering insecurity across the nation.
