IN a bid to improve environmental sanitation at the Apo Mechanic Village, Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) administration has set aside every Friday, between 7.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. as sanitation hours.
The FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello in company of the FCT Permanent Secretary, Dr Babatope Ajakaiye, dropped this hint during an unscheduled visit to the village to rub minds with stakeholders in the spareparts market, on Monday.
The minister reiterated that cleanliness was next to Godliness, adding that everything would be done to encourage the culture of cleanliness.
Malam Bello, in a statement by the Deputy Director/Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Muhammad Hazat Sule, a copy of which was made available to the Tribune Online in Abuja, urged them to work hard to clean the surroundings, so that the place would look like an international spare parts market it was envisaged to be.
He then assured that the FCT administration would also support the effort by providing trucks to evacuate refuse collected every Friday.
