The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has shortlisted officers on Salary Grade Level 16 (SGL 16) for the 2026 Directorate-Level Promotion Oral Interview for advancement to the post of Director, Salary Grade Level 17 (SGL 17).

The invitation follows the successful conduct of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) examinations for the 2026 Directorate-Level Promotion Exercise.

The Head of Press and Public Relations of the Commission, Ibraheem Zakariyya, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja, saying the invitation was conveyed through Circular No. FC.6243/GOV/2026/VOL.II/76, dated October 27, 2026, issued by the Office of the Chairman of the Commission.

According to the statement, the list of shortlisted candidates, identified by their examination numbers, is available on the Commission’s official website, while the timetable for the exercise is attached to the circular.

Zakariyya said the oral interview is scheduled to hold from Wednesday, November 11, to Friday, November 20, 2026.

Shortlisted candidates are required to assemble daily at 7:30 a.m. at Eagle Square, in front of the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Abuja, for conveyance to the interview venue in line with the approved timetable.

The Commission also directed all Permanent Secretaries, Accounting Officers, and Chief Executive Officers of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to ensure that the contents of the circular are brought to the attention of all shortlisted candidates under their supervision.

It specifically urged the officials to ensure that officers serving outside their organisations’ headquarters, including those posted abroad, are informed of the arrangements and comply with the instructions.
