THE Ekiti State Governor and Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum, Dr Ayodele Fayose accused the Acting President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo of not being truthful over the real state of health of President Muhammadu Buhari, now receiving treatment in the United Kingdom.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday on the visit of Osinbajo to UK to see the ailing President and his comment that Buhari was in good condition and that he would soon be back to the country, Fayose stated that the Acting President lied to the nation on the true position of things.

Fayose insisted that the available information at his disposal indicated that Buhari was still seriously sick, on life support and incapacitated to perform his official duties as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He threatened to release 11 shocking photographs concerning the real health status of the President if pushed to the wall and if the Presidency failed to come clean on the issue.

Fayose declared that the claim of the Acting President that Buhari was fast recuperating and would return to the country soon, was a dummy sold to the public.

According to the Governor, “If they go further and try to continue to deceive Nigerians, I will release about 11 shocking and damaging pictures anytime from now on the President’s health; the pictures are going to cause very serious uproars in the country.”

‎He challenged Osinbajo to show Nigerians pictures and short videos of his meeting with President Buhari in London on Tuesday if indeed he is insisting that the President was fast recovering from his ailment, saying that the visit of Osinbajo to London to see Buhari was nothing but diversionary.

According to Fayose, “We pray for his (Buhari’s) health and for him to come back in one piece. However, the claim of the Acting President that Buhari is recuperating fast is not true. The President is incapacitated, sick. There is no iota of truth that the President is in good condition.

“In this age of technology, Osinbajo should be able to show Nigerians pictures and short videos of the President to show that he is okay. Nigerians want to see their President.

“The Acting President’s statement that Buhari is okay is not true; it is far from the truth. President Buhari is very sick, critically sick. The President is critically ill.

“If they are not careful, I will release 11 pictures about the real health status of the President any moment from now.”

Fayose recalled that he warned Nigerians in 2015 about the health condition of the President, noting with regret that his warning was ignored.

When asked why the governors have not been able to go and see the President in UK to be able to see things for themselves about the health condition of the President, Fayose said, “They will say you are asking for too much. But now, we have been able to establish that the President is on life support.”

The governor therefore repeated his call on President Buhari to step aside and allow Nigeria to move on and pleaded with the Federal Executive Council (FEC) and the National Assembly to rise up to their responsibilities and do the needful on ill health of the interest over the over 170 million Nigerians.

When asked where he got his information on the true state of health Of Buhari, Fayose said, “I’m not going to prove that to Nigerians. It is him (Osinbajo) who said he saw the President that needs to prove to Nigerians.

“I have made the allegations and I have said it expressly that we are in the age of technology. How come we have an Acting President of a nation that has visited his boss that cannot show evidence of the meeting.

“The picture they are posting on social media are pictures taken long time. You recall that I said this again at Transcorp Hilton in 2015. We are talking about the President of 170 million people.

“The Acting President visiting the President that has left this country for about 60 days or more cannot show evidence of the meeting. It shows the President is in critical condition.

“Again, if they are not careful, I will release some pictures. This will in turn create so many serious problems for this country.

“And I’m telling you again that I don’t need to prove anything to Nigerians because they are saying the President is well. He’s hale and hearty. He has refused to come home in about 70 days. The office of the President and office of the government are offices that encourage the office holders to perform.

“A President that has spent so much time outside the country in a year shows clearly that this sickness is major.”
