Family and friends on Friday bade their final farewell to music producer, singer and songwriter OJB, popularly known as Okungbowa Jezreel Babatunde as he was laid to rest at the Ikoyi Cemetery.
The artiste passed away on June 14, after battling with kidney disease.
The burial service was held at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Surulere, Lagos.
It was an emotional moment as mourners filed past his gold casket, as he was carried from his home to the church, and to the burial ground.
“I met him at the very beginning of my career; he was the one who recorded my first single.
“When everybody stopped believing in me and my talent, OJB still believed in me.
“I thank God and I was happy when I heard that he gave his life to Christ before he died; and that is the essence of living actually. He lived a good life, very nice person. “Our prayer is that his children will continue where he stopped,” Nigerian soul singer, Azeezat Olaoluwa told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
