Ex-Big Brother Naija star, Francisca Owumi, passes away

Former Big Brother Naija star, Francisca Owumi, has passed away following a brief illness.

Francisca, who was the runner-up in the inaugural season of BBNaija in 2006, died on August 29, 2024.

Her family announced her passing on social media, saying, “A daughter and sister. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.”

Known for her vibrant personality and fierce dancing skills during her time on the show, Francisca was a memorable part of the BBNaija house, alongside fellow housemates like the season’s winner, Katung Aduwak, and other notable contestants such as Gideon Okeke, Ebuka Obi Uchendu, and Maureen Osuji.

Following her stint on the reality show, Francisca briefly ventured into the Nigerian music industry, releasing singles like “Diva” and “Gbadun You.”
