Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Festac Mega Axis, has disclosed readiness to give free food items, Bibles and Christian Literatures to over two hundred and eighty ‘area boys’ and street /homeless children in Ajegunle, Lagos State, as part of its Food evangelism programme to win souls for Christ.
The Festac Mega Regional Overseer, Pastor Irabor Enojiasun, made this known while speaking with the press ahead of the programme coming up on 23 December, 2023 by 4pm, at Arowoyabuna Junction, by People’s Bus Stop, Kirikiri Road, Olodi Apapa.
Enojiasun said the programme which will be in the form of a Carnival Jam is part of the Explosive Evangelism Initiative (EEI) vision of Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) to ensure all turn back to God, their creator through Christ and abandon sinful lives.
The MRO earlier said the Church recently had its Annual Women Conference and Health Seminar with the Theme “Divine Touch” where many depressed souls were healed and delivered, revealing that a lot of women benefited from the Free health awareness as well. The Women Conference, which was coordinated by the Mega Women Coordinator, Pst Mrs. Ann Irebia who likewise represented the MRO’s wife , Mrs Irabor, added that women benefited from free health screening/talk during the programme
The ‘area boys’ Evangelism according to Pst Irabor is an annual programme of Festac Regional Headquarters to ensure youths turn a new leaf by abandoning smoking and use of drugs and substances which, he lamented, are injurious to their health and in turn destroying families, government and society at large.
He explained that the church, MFM Festac, held the programme last year where many gave their lives to Christ, turned a new leaf and abandoned the use of drugs and smoking and began to live responsible lives.
The coordinator of ‘Area boys’ Evangelism programme, Pastor Edward Ilesami, who is also a Regional Overseer Special Duty, said he is delighted in organising the programme as a changed agent who once used to live as ‘Area boys’ smoking different types of weeds before he gave his life to Jesus Christ.
Edward said he is happy showing his once colleagues light and sharing his testimonies of encounter with Christ and transformation with them.
He explained that peer pressure, bad companions, poverty and hunger, bad parenting, as well as bad leadership draw many promising youths to the streets.
Edward said the food evangelism programme will be held at ‘Area boys’ popular base in Ajegunle.
He said, “I used to be on the street, smoking different kinds of weeds and roaming about aimlessly without a future until Christ met me and now I am a transformed man of God impacting lives positively.”
