The appeal was contained in the speech of the newly inaugurated president of the Christian fellowship of the Cathedral of Saint Peter, Aremo, Ibadan. Laolu Adebiyi Abegunde.
He also called on Nigerians, irrespective of their ethnic and religious difference, to support the government in its efforts to move the country forward and ensure security.
Other members of the executive, who were sworn in are Chief (Mrs) Alice Olasunkanmi, vice-president; Mr Akinsola Akintunde (General Secretary); Mrs Deborah Amoo (Assistance Secretary); Mrs Oluwatoyin Oladele (treasurer); Mrs Deborah Oloko (financial officer I); Mrs Olayide Adegoke (finance officer II); Mrs Funmilayo Akanmu (religious coordinator); Chief (Mrs) Foluke Fasola (Chief Whip); Chief (Mrs) Janet Awosheye (welfare officer); Mr Ranti Olajide (ex–officio), while Mr ayoade Solomon Olugbeimga is the publicity secretary and editor–in–chief for the society.
The new executive members are to run the affairs of the fellowship for the next two years.
