Enhance your personality with make-up, expert advises artists

MR Yomi Adeyomi , the Chief Executive Officer, Yyookosglobalconcepts, a makeup firm, on Thursday said the personality of artists would be better enhanced with good make up.

Adeyomi said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos while speaking on the forthcoming makeup creativity show in September.

“The entertainment industry cannot strive without the contribution of make-up artists; they are image makers and so should be given more recognition by the industry.

“A character cannot interpret his role perfectly if the make-up man is not incorporated into the crew.

“He makes the old become young, while he can also turn an average face to a pleasant look,” he said.

Adeyomi said that the art of make-up was a necessary tool in bringing out reality of characters of artists in entertainment.

Adeyomi said his forthcoming programme would discover talents and creativity among young and up-and-coming talents in the make-up industry.

He said the show, themed, “Making You a Brand”, would showcase about 40 make-up artists contesting.

He also said for the industry to thrive, practitioners should be constantly trained to upgrade their talents to meet international standard.

“ We are trying to empower young and interested artists as this will further create opportunities for them to express their talents and creativity,” he said.

Adeyomi said the talent -hunt and empowerment would give these artists an opportunity to become entrepreneurs in future.

“This is the Season 2 of the show and this year’s event will focus on developing talents and bringing out creativity in them,” he said.
