As the nationwide protest against the economic hardship currently rocking the country tagged #EndBadGovernance enters day 5, security operatives shot tear gas to disperse protesters in Gede, Jikwoyi area of the nation’s capital, Abuja.
In Nyanya area, the protesters were out in good numbers, but the kind of incident that happened in Jikwoyi did not take place in Nyanya since the security operatives stood facing the protesters without letting out canisters of gas to disperse them.
It be recalled that on day 1 of the protest, the protesters started looting and molesting commuters in the axis.
This is coming less than 24 hours after President Bola Tinubu addressed the nation on the issue.
