The new Emir of Gusau in Zamfara State, His Royal Highness Alhaji Abdulkadir Ibrahim Bello, has appreciated the presence of the Igbo community in the Emirate, saying they are known for their business skills.
The Emir made this known on Saturday when he received cabinet members of the Eze Igbo of Gusau, Chief Egbuna Obijiaku, and leaders of the Igbo Community Association (ICA), who visited his palace in Gusau to offer their condolences and support.
He acknowledged the strong presence of Igbos in the Emirate and praised their contribution to business and entrepreneurship in the state.

“I appreciate your visit to console me over the death of my father, the late Emir. I know the Igbo community through your dedication to business and enterprise,” he said.
Earlier, the Eze Igbo of Gusau and ICA President-General in Zamfara, Nnamdi Ageramu, said they came to sympathize with the new Emir and show their support.
They described the late Emir, Ibrahim Bello, as a father to the Igbo people—a peaceful and respected leader in Zamfara, the North, and Nigeria as a whole.
“The late Emir was our father, a bridge builder, and a kind leader who truly cared for his people. Igbos are loyal and will remain loyal,” they said.
Notable members of the visiting delegation included Chief Dr. Ikechukwu Onah, Maduka Ezemeka, Chief Barr. J.C. Eze, Chief Patrice Ejikeme, Chief Obari Okeke, and Chief Protocol Valentine Ejikeme.
