As part of efforts to improve the security situation in his emirate, the Emir of Birnin Gwari, Malam Zubairu Jibril, Maigwari Il has approved the swapping of two District Heads in his emirate.
A statement issued by the secretary of the emirate council, Mukhtar Salisu Muhammad and made available to the Saturday Tribune revealed that the two district heads will swap positions.
The statement disclosed that Alhaji Yusuf Yahaya Abubakar (Sarkin kudun Birnin Gwari) has been transferred from the central District to the Kuyello District.
While Alhaji Alhassan Alhassan (Ubandawakin Jarumawan Birnin Gwari) from Kuyello District to Birnin Gwari Central District.
The statement directed that the handing over and taking over should be completed with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, the new District Head of Birnin Gwari Central Alhaji Alhassan Alhassan (Ubandawakin Jarumawan Birnin Gwari) has since resumed duty.
Alhassan who was escorted to his new palace by family members, friends and well-wishers promised to work tirelessly for the development of the emirate.
He said he would support any steps taken by the emir to end the present security challenge facing the emirate.
