Tech moguls Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jeff Bezos are scheduled to attend President-elect Donald Trump’s highly anticipated return to the White House on Monday.
Sources close to the inauguration reported that their presence underscores the strengthening relationship between the incoming administration and the tech industry.
Musk, Zuckerberg, and Bezos will occupy front-row seats at the swearing-in ceremony alongside Trump’s Cabinet nominees and other high-ranking government officials. During the transition, Musk has been a frequent visitor at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, spending time with the president-elect and attending various events. Bezos and Zuckerberg have also travelled to Mar-a-Lago to meet with Trump following his November victory.
In a notable show of support, both Meta and Amazon have each donated $1 million to the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee, with other major tech companies like Google, Microsoft, and Apple’s Tim Cook also contributing. Notably, Meta is making its inaugural donation to a presidential inauguration committee.
One of the most anticipated highlights of the inauguration is the performance by the Village People, the iconic band behind Trump’s signature rally anthem, “Y.M.C.A.” They are scheduled to perform at several events, including one attended by Trump himself, as well as a special ball hosted by the conservative group Turning Point.
Recall that Tribune online reported that Billionaire, Elon Musk committed to donating $45 million monthly throughout trump’s presidential bid in 2024. Other tech moguls joined the donation race even as the world anticipates the inauguration of the President-elect, Donald Trump.
In defence of their decision to perform, the Village People stated, “We believe that music is to be performed without regard to politics, and it’s now time to bring the country together with music.” They further added, “Our song Y.M.C.A. is a global anthem that hopefully helps bring the country together after a tumultuous and divided campaign where our preferred candidate lost.”
The inaugural festivities will commence with a reception and fireworks display at Trump’s private golf club in Sterling, Virginia, followed by a Cabinet reception and dinner with Vice President-elect JD Vance on Saturday, according to the official schedule.
On the eve of the inauguration, Trump will begin the day with a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery. He will then celebrate his return to the White House with a “Make America Great Again” rally at the Capital One Arena in Washington before concluding the day with an elegant candlelight dinner.
The official inauguration on Monday will feature the swearing-in ceremony, a grand presidential parade along Pennsylvania Avenue, and three exclusive inaugural balls: the Commander in Chief Ball, the Liberty Inaugural Ball, and the Starlight Ball— all of which Trump is expected to attend.
