AHEAD of the next Saturday Presidential election, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) has embarked on door-to-door campaign within the Aso Rock Villa to canvass for votes and re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He was also at the Villa family residence of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, and received by his mother, Hajia Raliat Razaq.
Osinbajo, spared time after a town hall meeting at the Villa to visit some families to identify with them and seek support in the forthcoming election.
He was welcomed into the resident with a mammoth crowd of APC supporters.
Hajia Razaq said she was overwhelmed with joy at the Vice-President’s visit and called for the re-election of President Buhari.
She said: “For the Vice President of Nigeria to come and greet us, I’m overwhelmed and very happy. It’s to going to be four plus four.”

One of the daughters, Senator Khairat Abdulrazaq-Gwadabe, who is also APC Senatorial candidate in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), said the family has lived at the Villa, since the seat of power was moved from Lagos to Abuja and that it was the first time that a seating Vice President could visit homes within the Villa to seek for support.
She said many people come out from surrounding military Barracks to register in the polling stations in the Villa, saying the Vice President deemed it necessary to engage them.
Abdulrazaq-Gwadabe, who happened to be the first Senator to represent FCT at the National Assembly, said the engagement was positive and was optimistic that majority of them would come out to vote for APC in the forthcoming elections.
