The transition committee chairman of Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State, Chimezie Obi, has disclosed that Governor Chukwuma Soludo places a high premium on healthcare delivery.

Speaking at Ozubulu,  headquarters of Ekwusigo Local Government Area when he enrolled all security men in the local government area in the Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme (AHIS), Obi described the scheme as a well thought out health programme of the state government aimed at giving the people of the state efficient, effective, accessible and affordable healthcare services

He charged the people of the state to key into the AHIS in order to benefit from numerous healthcare merits of the scheme.

Obi, while commending Governor Soludo for his developmental strides across all sectors of the state economy, especially in revamping healthcare facilities across the 326 electoral wards in the state, ongoing provision of public water supply, functional education; with the recruitment of over 5,000 teachers and more than 300 health personnel for hospitals across the state, among others, charged the people of the state to be alive to their responsibilities, especially in the area of payment of government approved tax and levies to enable the government continue to serve them better.

He maintained that the people-oriented programmes and policies of the Soludo administration would be localised in Ekwusigo Local Government Area for the benefit of the people of the area.

He used the event to call on the people to always protect government facilities in their various areas against vandals.
