Abutu said, “Investigation revealed that the suspects and others who are currently at large, specialise in stealing vehicles from where they were parked and selling them to their receivers.
“The suspects, during investigation, confessed to the commission of the alleged crime and further stated that they are members of the same syndicate with one Babalola Ezekiel, who was arrested and prosecuted sometime in 2024 for a case of armed robbery and murder. They equally stated that they were planning to go and steal a vehicle from the Odo Ado area of Ado-Ekiti before they were arrested.
“Two Toyota Camry cars were recovered from them, while effort is underway to arrest other fleeing gang members, the receivers of the stolen vehicles and the possible recovery of other stolen vehicles.”

Eribo said, “The command will continue to work assiduously to ensure the maximum safety of lives and property of all the good people of the state.”
