The Ekiti State Government has dissociated itself from a purported teaching recruitment registration website, which was apparently created by fraudsters to deceive prospective job applicants.
Speaking during an audience participatory simulcast broadcast on all radio stations in the state and its environs, tagged “Ekiti Loni/Ekiti Today,” the State Commissioner for Information, Taiwo Olatunbosun, stated: “While it is true that Governor Biodun Oyebanji recently approved the recruitment of 1,800 teaching and non-teaching staff into public schools across the state, the State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has yet to conclude the administrative procedures necessary to advertise the vacancies and has, therefore, not opened any portal for the recruitment exercise.”
Describing any open portal related to the recruitment exercise as counterfeit and intended to defraud unsuspecting members of the public, Olatunbosun emphasized that the state government has designated media channels for such information and will continue to use them for all public communications.
He urged the public, particularly prospective applicants, to disregard any information or website currently in circulation that does not originate from TESCOM, to avoid falling victim to fraudsters.
The Commissioner assured the public that the government remains vigilant on matters concerning citizens’ welfare, emphasizing that its focus is on the rapid development of the state and the overall well-being of residents.
According to him, the Oyebanji administration has adopted a holistic approach to achieving sustainable development, prioritizing solutions that benefit the entire system.

Olatunbosun further assured citizens that the government will continue to employ qualified individuals into the public service to enhance its efficiency, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and the effective implementation of government policies in the public interest, thereby promoting continuity in governance.
He added that the present administration is also creating a conducive environment for businesses, including Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), as well as agriculture, to thrive in the state.
The Commissioner reiterated the Oyebanji administration’s commitment to strategically creating job opportunities beyond conventional public service white-collar jobs, aiming to promote self-sufficiency among residents.
According to him, the government is actively facilitating soft loans and grants for entrepreneurs to support MSMEs while also making farming more attractive through its ongoing agricultural revolution and the introduction of agripreneurship, among other initiatives.
Olatunbosun stated: “The recent adoption of Ekiti Adire as the official attire on every third Wednesday of the month by the State Executive Council was designed to promote cultural heritage.
“It was also aimed at creating jobs and providing employment opportunities, thereby empowering residents interested in the tie-and-dye craft and increasing the state’s revenue to boost the economy.
“The goal is to add value and engage other human resources, particularly in rural areas and among underserved communities.”
