The Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has described the celebration of Eid-ul-Maulud as a period of joy, spiritual reflection, and a unique opportunity for Muslims to emulate the exemplary life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The Governor extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in Bauchi State, Nigeria, and across the globe on the occasion of the 2025 Eid-ul-Maulud, which marks the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
In a goodwill message to the people of the state, Bala Mohammed urged the faithful to uphold the values of peace, love, compassion, generosity, tolerance, humility, honesty, and selflessness as taught by the Prophet.
He emphasized that Eid-ul-Maulud provides an opportunity to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, promote unity, and foster peaceful coexistence.
The Governor called on the people of Bauchi State to continue to live in peace and harmony, irrespective of ethnic, religious, or political differences, and to offer prayers for lasting peace and stability in Bauchi State and the nation at large, especially in light of current security challenges.
Acknowledging the economic hardship being faced by citizens, the Governor assured the people of his administration’s unwavering commitment to implementing measures that will provide relief and improve their wellbeing.
He reiterated the government’s determination to maintain law and order, emphasizing that security agencies are working round the clock to safeguard lives and property across the state.
As part of these efforts, the Governor disclosed that an interfaith committee comprising Muslim scholars and Christian clergy has been constituted to sensitize communities in Bogoro and Tafawa Balewa Local Government Areas on the need for peaceful coexistence, following recent politically motivated unrest disguised as farmers-herders conflicts.
While appealing for continued support and cooperation from all citizens, Bala Mohammed warned that any person or group found inciting violence or engaging in acts capable of breaching the peace in the state will face the full wrath of the law.
