As Muslim faithful celebrate this year’s Eid el-Kabir, a member of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Gbolahan Yishawu, representing Eti-Osa constituency 02 has called on well-meaning Nigerians to share with the needy.

He stated this in a statement made available by his media office on Saturday.

While celebrating with Muslim faithful in his constituency and Lagosians, Yishawu said this period should not be for wining and dining alone but said those who could not afford to eat three square meals should be provided for.

Yishawu, who is also the chairman ad-hoc committee on Budget, appealed to Nigerians to seek the face of Almighty God on the issue of insecurity in the name of the festive period.

“As Nigerians, we must pray for our unity and against insecurity, our government is trying to end insecurity and secure lives of the people but we should not leave the responsibility to government alone. All hands must be on deck to fish out bad eggs in our society.

“Our security officers are also working tirelessly to safeguard Nigerians and we need to also pray for them. In the time like this, we cannot rule out divine intervention,” Yishawu said.

The lawmaker also urged the resolution now protesters to allow peace in the country, especially now that government at all levels are working assiduously to ensure the security of lives and properties.

He charged them to use the time protesting to do something meaningful that will contribute positively to the development of the nation.

He, therefore, greets Muslims faithful happy Eid al Adha and prayed that Nigerians shall witness many years in the name of Allah.
