Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has urged the Muslim Ummah to uphold dedication in the worship of Allah beyond the Ramadan period.
In a message through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the Governor congratulates the Muslim Ummah across the globe on the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast and the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
He reminded the Muslim Ummah of the teachings of the Quran and Hadith, centered on peace, love, discipline, and humility, explaining that the worship of Allah is not limited to the Ramadan fast but is a lifelong commitment.
While thanking Allah for the Eid-el-Fitr celebration, the Governor notes that the occasion revolves around love, almsgiving to the less privileged, and peaceful coexistence with people of other religions.
He calls on the Muslim faithful to use the period to pray for enduring peace in Nigeria as a whole and in Niger State in particular, as well as for all leaders to continue to serve humanity selflessly.
The Governor further restates his commitment to building a New Niger where everyone will have a sense of belonging.
