Edo guber: Accord will defeat APC, PDP, LP, says Iyere

Nigeria’s frontline humanitarian activist and high-profile social entrepreneur, who is the candidate of Accord, has said that his party (Accord) will defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP) in the forthcoming Edo guber poll.

The humanitarian activist made these declaration in Abuja on Sunday while addressing journalsts.

He affirmed that none of the candidates of the APC, PDP and LP can match his capacity in terms of mobilisation and delivery of people-oriented social impact programmes. According to him, no place exists anymore in Edo State for the APC and PDP but for LP, Iyere said his own impact will be too overwhelming for trio to match.

“Check out the three candidates vying under the APC, PDP and LP, look at their previous portfolios and point out what social impact they made on the ordinary people of Edo State. The findings will shock you. They have not made any significant social impact on the suffering masses.

“Are these the people you want to compare to me, who lives his own life for the benefit of the masses or everyday people?

“In this contest, I represent the new hope of the people in terms of humanitarian and development social impacts, none of these three candidates can match my capacity or worth,” Iyere said.

It is widely on record that Comrade Kennedy Iyere was the first to emerge a candidate for the 2024 Edo guber poll, he won the first 2024 Edo guber primary conducted by Accord (his own party) on Saturday March 17, 2024. It is also on record that he emerged as candidate after five other aspirants stepped down for him.

Iyere is a grassroots humanitarian activist of both national and international repute. He is a renowned serial social entrepreneur and a top philanthropist. He is also a social welfare advocate and citizen rights crusader.

Iyere said he is certain that he will be elected the next governor of Edo State in the forthcoming 2024 Edo guber poll.

“I have a reason for coming out at this critical time when the country is at the crossroad, Edo State has lost its political and economic compass, which means we are on a political and economic journey that won’t lead us to our desired positive end.

“The need to locate our right route and restart our journey in the right direction is the reason I am in the 2024 Edo guber contest and I am in the race to win,” Iyere declared.

He called on all indigenes of Edo State, both home and abroad, to join forces and work with him to actualise his 2024 political mandate.

Iyere has always made it clear that his victory in the 2024 Edo guber poll is unstoppable.
