ECOWAS appoints Awelewa as youth council ambassador

Business Development and Network Marketing expert Temitope Awelewa has been appointed by the Economic Community of West African States as Youth Council Ambassador.

The Ilawe-Ekiti-born network marketing enthusiast was presented with the prestigious Nelson Mandela Leadership Award of Excellence and Integrity on Friday 30th August 2024.

The appointment, as contained in the official letter, was in recognition of Awelewa’s laudable contributions to community development, youth engagements and the promotion of regional peace and Enterpreneurship in the West African region, most especially Nigeria.

The regional body described Temitope as a leading entrepreneur and a man of excellence and integrity.It is also hoped that the recognition by ECOWAS would solidify all he stands for.

The letter reads, “I am pleased to confirm that the board of the West African (ECOWAS) Youth Council on the recommendation of her young people has appointed you as a

West African Youth Ambassador.

“This appointment is not unconnected with your laudable antecedents of dedication, hard work and diligence in the area of service to humanity and your commendable works as an advocate and relentless crusader of promoting development for African.

“All necessary documents for this diplomatic mission are attached to your appointment.”

In his remarks, Temitope Awelewa commended the organization for finding him worthy of the honour.

He described the appointment as a morale booster for him and promised the ECOWAS youth council to be a worthy Ambassador at all levels both in the local and international communities.

He assured the council that he would remain committed to course of advancing the development of the youth demography in the region.

Temitope Awelewa had mentored many Nigerian youth in his over eight years of engagement in business development majoring in Network and digital marketing.NIGERIAN TRIBUNE
