Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, has lifted the suspension earlier placed on his commissioners, senior special assistants, special assistants, and 22 permanent secretaries.
The governor also directed them to resume official duties immediately.
Nwifuru announced the decision in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Monday Uzor, on Tuesday.
The statement reads:
“The Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has graciously lifted the suspension on 81 government officials.

“The Governor directed the commissioners, senior special assistants, special assistants, and permanent secretaries who were suspended on July 28, 2025, to resume official duties immediately.”
Recall that Governor Nwifuru, a few days ago, suspended 85 government officials, including commissioners and permanent secretaries , for failing to attend an official government function.
