So many blessings, so few tears-yet for a moment, we must part,” the quote could best describe as the current feelings and even memories that will linger on in the heart of music legend, Evangelist Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi (MFR), over the demise of his younger brother, Elder Clement Oluseye Olusegun Kembi.
The death of the Miliki king’s younger brother could be regarded as one of his darkest moments in life and again might open a fresh wound in his heart to have lost another closes confidant and only brother, aged 72, who passed on last week in the United States of America, (USA).
Despite the great loss, Obey, who is still down with the rude shock since the unfortunate news, will eventually find solace in his heart with a reflect on one of the popular quotes that says: “Those we love remain with us, for love itself lives on. Cherished memories never fade, because a loved one is gone. Those we love can never be, more than a thought apart. For as long there are memories, they’ll live on in our hearts.”
Aside the fact that the late Elder Kembi and Obey are siblings, the deceased played a major role in the music career and management of the music icon and was the former Managing Director of the Obey Musical Instruments Company (ORMICO) and the Decross Limited, as has been a source of inspiration to many through his wealth of experience.
It was gathered that, Elder Kembi, who had relocated to the United States, had been in and out of hospital for a year now as a result of a life-threatening illness, which confined him into a life support machine lately before he passed on October 31.
It was also learnt that the family of the deceased and the Obey dynasty have concluded arrangements for a befitting burial for the deceased, as the corpse will be accompanied to Nigeria by his children and be laid to rest on January 17 and 18, 2019.
