President-elect Donald Trump has suggested that the Biden administration and the military are withholding information from the public about mysterious drones recently sighted over New Jersey.
During a press conference at Mar-a-Lago on Monday, Trump questioned why the government has kept the public “in suspense” over the situation.
“Look, our military knows where they took off from, if it’s a garage they can go right into that garage,” Trump said. “They know where it came from and where it went.”
When asked whether he had been briefed on the matter, Trump declined to comment but reiterated his belief that officials are aware of the drones’ origins.
“Our military knows, and our president knows, and for some reason, they want to keep people in suspense,” he said.
Trump dismissed the idea that the drones were the work of a foreign adversary, adding that such a threat would have prompted immediate military action.
“If it was the enemy, they’d blast it out,” Trump remarked. “Even if they were late, they’d blast it. Something strange is going on. For some reason, they don’t want to tell the people.”

In recent days, federal authorities have insisted there is no evidence of foreign involvement, asserting that the drones pose no threat to national security or public safety.
However, the FBI has confirmed they are investigating about 100 drone sightings in New Jersey, including reports near Naval Weapons Station Earle, Picatinny Arsenal, and by the New Jersey State Police.
While most sightings have been dismissed as manned aircraft, the unexplained incidents have drawn increased scrutiny.
On Friday, Trump took to Truth Social to demand transparency from the Biden administration, urging them to either share what they know or take decisive action.
“Mystery Drone sightings all over the Country,” Trump wrote. “Can this really be happening without our government’s knowledge? I don’t think so! Let the public know, and now. Otherwise, shoot them down!”
Trump also noted drones have been spotted near his residence at Trump National Golf Course in Bedminster, where he planned to visit this weekend. He hinted at reconsidering the trip, jokingly saying, “I think I’m going to cancel the trip.”
