Dr Emem Alban is a distinguished entrepreneur and trained agronomist, currently serving as the CEO of Emani Farms Giant Ltd. She is also the driving force behind Smooches House of Gold Ventures, a logistics company, and the founder of the End Hunger Humanitarian Initiative, an NGO dedicated to combating hunger, malnutrition, and food insecurity in rural communities.

Dr. Alban holds a Bachelor of Science in Brewing Science and Technology from the University of Uyo and a Post Graduate Diploma in Crop and Soil Science from the University of Port Harcourt. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s degree in Crop Science at the University of Uyo. In recognition of her contributions to leadership and business administration, she recently received an honorary doctorate from the Institute of Leadership Labor Manpower and Management Development.

Her career is marked by a commitment to agribusiness—a sector crucial for national development and food security. Agribusiness not only provides employment opportunities but also contributes significantly to economic growth and sustainability. Dr. Alban’s initiatives in this field are particularly notable. Through Emani Farms Giant Ltd, she has successfully nurtured an agro-value chain food procurement and distribution business, which has become a substantial contributor to the local economy. Her leadership has resulted in consistent sales growth, employee development, and enhanced customer service strategies that prioritize community engagement.

Moreover, her work with the End Hunger Humanitarian Initiative has directly impacted rural communities by addressing food scarcity and malnutrition. By implementing targeted programs, Dr. Alban aims to improve food access and nutritional education, thereby fostering healthier communities.

Dr. Alban’s qualifications are extensive, including certifications in project management, digital marketing, and hydroponics, which equip her with the skills necessary to lead in a rapidly evolving agricultural landscape. Her recent accolades, such as being named a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary International, underscore her commitment to service and leadership.

The importance of agribusiness cannot be overstated; it plays a vital role in ensuring food security and promoting sustainable practices. Dr Alban’s multifaceted approach—combining business acumen with humanitarian efforts—serves as a model for aspiring entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector. Her dedication to improving lives through sustainable agricultural practices and community empowerment positions her as a notable leader in both agribusiness and humanitarian.
