The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has approved the immediate removal of Hon. Hassan Atawodi as the Transition Chairman of Ofu Local Government Area.

In the same vein, the Governor approved the appointment of Musa Muhammed Lawal as the Transition Chairman of Ofu Local Government Area with immediate effect.

Our correspondent reliably gathered that he diverted palliatives meant for his local government to another place.

A statement by the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Mrs. Folashade Ayoade, PhD, directed Hassan Atawodi to submit all government property in his possession to the new Transition Chairman.

The statement also directed Hassan Atawodi to hand over all the affairs of the Council and submit a handing-over note to the new Transition Chairman immediately.

His removal was in line with zero tolerance of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo’s fight against corruption
