Dickson mourns demise of former lawmaker in Bayelsa

GOVERNOR Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State has described the untimely passage of a two-time member of the State House of Assembly, Hon Noah Opusiri Otobo as shocking and painful.

In a condolence message made available to journalists in Yenagoa, the Governor noted that, the passage of Hon Otobo last week has dealt a devastating blow to his immediate family, friends and the entire state.

According to the statement, He described the deceased as a thorough-bred politician whose experience, both as a lawmaker and Special Adviser had contributed immensely to the stability of the state.

The statement also added that Hon Otobo’s efforts as Special Adviser worked relentlessly to foster the existing cordial working relationship between the Executive and Legislative arms of the state government.

Dickson submitted that late Otobo who is a one-time Special Adviser on Assembly Liaison represented the people of Nembe Constituency 3 creditably well during his time as a member of the State House of Assembly.

He, however, expressed sadness over the demise, and prayed God to grant the deceased family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
