Why are people with Diabetes advised to avoid hurting their feet.
Bilikis (by SMS)
Diabetics must care for their feet to prevent potentially severe complications like foot ulcers, infections, and amputations, which are caused by nerve damage (neuropathy) and poor circulation (peripheral artery disease). Nerve damage can lead to a loss of feeling in the feet, meaning minor injuries like cuts or blisters may go unnoticed, allowing them to become infected and worsen over time. Poor circulation hinders the foot’s ability to heal and fight off infections, increasing the risk of serious complications.
