Emir of Rano Ambassador Kabir Muhd Inuwa has called on people of the area to develop keen interest in the education of their children because education is the only legacy that parents can give to children
The Emir spoke while receiving the State Commissioner for Higher Education Dr Yusuf Ibrahim Kofar Mata who paid him a courtesy visit at his palace.
Ambassador Inuwa described education as a prerequisite to uplifting society and a powerful tool to liberate human being from ignorant
According to a statement signed on Sunday by the information officer State Ministry for Higher Education Sunusi Kofar Na’isa said the Emir also expressed satisfaction with the decision taken by the state government in promoting educational sector.
He then described the move as a welcome development and pledged to give all their maximum support and cooperation whenever the need arise.
The Emir then thanked the state commissioner and his entourage for the visit and hope that it would be of immense benefit to the teeming populace of the area and state at large.
Earlier, the State Commissioner for Higher Education Dr. Yusuf Ibrahim Kofar Mata said they were at Rano Local Government as part of his continuation of familiarization tour to the institutions under his Ministry and indeed at palace to seek the Emir’s fatherly blessing.
The Commissioner described the existing relationship between himself and the people of the area as well as the palace in particular as a long historical background, hoping that it would continue to wax stronger.
The Commissioner then assured the Emir of his total support to any move that would assist towards transformation of tertiary institutions in the State.
During the visit, the Commissioner was accompanied by the Rector of Kano State Polytechnic, Associate Prof. Kabir Bello Dungurawa and some of the directors and other top officials of the Ministry.
